Interests

I am a Computer Scientist specializing in multi-agent systems, epistemology, autonomous planning, and neuro-symbolic AI.

I started exploring the field of scientific research during my Master’s studies, where my thesis on Multi-Agent Epistemic Planning introduced me to the fields of logics and Knowledge Representation. Later, over the course of my Ph.D., I conducted extensive research focused on diverse methods of representing knowledge and beliefs and in creating an hybrid architecture, following the System-1/System-2 paradigm, for solving planning problems. Currently, I am part of the UKRI AI Hub project at the University of Oxford, which is focused on investigating the Computational Foundations of AI, and particularly Understanding Decision Making.

I find this last research strand very appealing as, beyond advancing technology, it addresses significant ethical questions that we, as computer scientists, must investigate to ensure that our work produces trustworthy tools that could actually improve our society
